As you are probably aware, Doug Manchester recently announced a donation to assist civil rights efforts currently being undertaken by so many of you. Mr. Manchester offered $25,000 in personal grant donations to be made to GLBT non-profit organization(s). In addition Mr. Manchester is sponsoring $100,000 of in-kind support for use of the property's facilities, goods and services.
To follow the announcement, he is now commencing the application process for organizations to benefit from one or both of the donations being offered. Applicants are asked to complete the online form consideration.
It is his sincere hope that this process will continue to rebuild the relationship with the GLBT community. The initiation of this process follows Mr. Manchester's apology and personal vow to never again give money or resources to anti-GLBT organizations or their advocates, and his public support for full legal rights for GLBT Americans.
This process is a significant step and a vital one for us and it will ensure our future efforts are focused on bringing people together, not dividing people.
